Regular household garbage is collected weekly, normally on the same day each week.
All household garbage must be bagged.
Please keep bags under 40 pounds.
Loose garbage will not be picked up.
Garbage will not be removed from enclosed carports, porches, or garages
Holiday garbage collection dates are posted on WCON 99.3 FM radio and the Northeast Georgian newspaper.

Trash over this amount must be placed in EXTRA WASTE BAGS:
3 cans NO LARGER THAN 33 gallons. Cans must have LIDS!
OR 1 trash cart (Call 776-7346 to receive a cart).
Carts must be taken to the curb for pickup!
If you have EXTRA WASTE BAGS outside of your can, you will be charged an additional fee on your bill.

All additional fees will be added to your water bill.
Old toys and household items should be placed neatly along the curb for removal.
Recyclable Paper Newspapers, magazines, computer paper, phone books, and office type paper
Put recyclable paper in paper bags and/ or tie securely with string. Please keep paper dry and separate from other trash.

Construction debris must be separated from other refuse. Place curbside in a separate pile. Refuse from minor construction and remodeling efforts by the homeowner will be picked up.
Construction and remodeling debris resulting from CONTRACTOR WORK are to be removed BY THE CONTRACTOR!
Paint cans will be removed only if paint is not in liquid form. Cans that are not dry and empty should be filled with dirt, sand or sawdust.
Normal pickup of household garbage and refuse is 1 1/3 cubic yard (about half a pickup truck load). For large projects, please call 778-8585 to rent a city truck. This costs $25 per day plus the cost of landfill fee ($35 per ton). We will schedule to have the truck at your location at the end of the workday. You load the truck, and we pick it up the next morning.

Lawn debris
bagged lawn clippings should be placed neatly along the curb for removal.
CHIPPER TRUCK takes care of heavy pruning debris, brush, and limbs less than 4” in diameter. Place limbs curbside with butt ends facing the street.
LEAF VACUUM operates November to January
Rake leaves to form a long row along the curb. Keep sticks, rocks, and other debris out of leaves, as these clog and damage the machine.
LEAVES MUST BE BAGGED FEBRUARY-OCTOBER
Bagged lawn clippings should be placed neatly along the curb for removal.
