2010 Consumer Confidence Report

Cornelia Water Works is committed to the continual provision of safe and high quality drinking water on a year round basis. Your City is diligent in it's efforts to not only meet but exceed federal and state standards.

Water Quality Award

The City of Cornelia received a 2010 Gold Award from GAWP for meeting all water quality limits set forth by state and federal authorities in the SDWA.

We are proud of our water plant operators!

The award was presented by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention & the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services

Water Conservation

The Georgia Water Stewardship Act went into effect statewide on June 2, 2010. It allows daily outdoor watering for purposes of planting, growing, managing, or maintaining ground cover, trees, shrubs, or other plants only between the hours of 4 p.m. and 10 a.m. by anyone whose water is supplied by a water system permitted by the Environmental Protection Division.
