Water Quality Award

The City of Cornelia was awarded the Water Fluoridation Quality Award for 2007.

We are proud of our water plant operators!

The award was presented by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention & the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services

The award states:  The CDC commends this water system for its consistent & professional adjustment of the water fluoride content to the optimum level for overall health for 12 consistent months.  Consistent, high-quality water fluoridation practice, as demonstrated by this water system, is a safe & effective method to prevent tooth decay, improving the oral health of community residents of all ages.
