The Cornelia Community House is a handsome stone & log structure built by the CC in 1936 and is listed on the National Register. The Community House, with 2,500 sq. ft. of space is reasonably priced and a local favorite for large events (up to 300 people).
The Community House overlooks the large City Park. The grounds are nicely landscaped and there is a large rock fountain that graces the front lawn making it a popular place for outdoor weddings. The renovated building features a commercial kitchen and an elevator. The entry hall and main room have striking stone stacked fireplaces. The rear of the building has several stone arched entrance ways making a beautiful back drop for photos. The Community House has options for outdoor or indoor weddings with the availability for the wedding ceremony and reception being held in the same facility. The Main Hall is 60 x 40 and is spacious enough for weddings, receptions and dancing. The Lower Hall is 60 x 40 with walls of local granite and heart of pine support logs. The carpeted floor and large stone fireplace make for a more intimate setting. This historic, rustic building is perfect for any size wedding and is graced with many photo opportunities.
